Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw and Bob Andrews - the Three Investigators. In Germany they have enjoyed a cult status for 40 years. Studio Hamburg International Production (SHIP) is developing three movies and a TV series about the adventures of the juvenile detectives from California. THE SECRET OF SKELETON ISLAND is the first adventure. The Three Investigators investigate mysterious ghost appearances and sabotage in an old amusement park on a Pacific island. The second movie is scheduled to be THE SECRET OF TERROR CASTLE and the trilogy will finish up with THE MYSTERY OF THE SILVER SPIDER.
SHIP's negotiations with a US company and a German TV channel are in the advanced stages of development. SHIP is going to sell Three Investigators merchandise during the time the first movie will be shown in theatres. Shooting begins in South-Africa in early 2005.
